Our Mission
Student Creed
- I will develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that will reduce my mental growth and physical health.
- I will develop self discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others.
- I will use common sense before self defense and never be abusive or offensive.
We are Motivated!
We are Dedicated!
We have a Quest to Be the Best!
The defining characteristic of a Warrior “is the willingness to close with the enemy.”
-Quoted from Matt Larsen the Father of Modern Army Combatives.
“If the day ever comes that you have to fight for your life. The only thing that will determine the outcome is if you ever trained and prepared for that fight”.
-Quoted from Tim Kennedy Former Special Forces Sniper, Former Modern Army Combatives Program and Special Operations Combatives Program Master Instructor, Retired UFC, Strikeforce, WEC mixed martial artist.
A Note from the President

James T Herring Jr.
U.S. Army Veteran and President of G.I. JuJitsu

Hello to all G.I. JuJitsu teachers, practitioners, and inquiring students from past and present. My name is James T Herring Jr., I’m a U.S. Army veteran and a former Master Combatives Instructor for the U.S. Army Level 4. I was appointed as the President of G.I. JuJitsu by the former President Joseph Proctor.
This program was designed for any and all MACP Instructors, G.I. JuJitsu Instructors and any military based self defense system instructors that want to earn their perspective belts in a recognized JuJitsu system designed by and for the Military. This JuJitsu system is now recognized by the North America JuJitsu Federation. Anyone that has received their Black belts will be recognized under the new federation and by myself.
If anyone in active duty, retired or otherwise has something to help add to the system or improve it in any way your information and experience will be welcomed with an open mind. We can grow this system together to be greater than it already is.
